Inspired to become a physician by his father, who was also an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Holmboe admits that his compassion for his patients and commitment to providing quality care has led him to be successful in his career.

Dr. Holmboe’s extensive education serves as the foundation of his career. He holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in general surgery at Duke University. Thereafter, Dr. Holmboe earned his board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

In recognition of his professional excellence, Dr. Holmboe earned a Patients Choice Award from Vitals in 2014 and he was named “Most Compassionate Doctor.” Additionally, he was named Professional of the Year by Worldwide Branding in 2015 for his work as an orthopedic surgeon. Looking ahead, Dr. Holmboe plans to continue offering his expertise to patients in the Redmond region.
