After completing coursework in physics during his undergraduate years, he developed an interest in medicine and transitioned at The University of Tennessee to complete an MD. He completed a residency in family medicine at East Tennessee University before completing another residency in psychiatry through the U.S. Navy.

Now based in Knoxville, Dr. Wolfe demonstrates his expertise in metabolic syndromes and family medicine at Mountain Peoples Health Councils, Inc. Additionally, he offers his services pro bono to his local homeless shelter.
