She has been a practicing physician for more than a decade and is honored to work with veterans. Dr. Thompson enjoys being able to serve others through providing them with medical care and takes great pride in the opportunity to share veterans’ prior life experiences and provide them with empathy and compassion. In her role, Dr. Thompson manages the largest panel of patients at the Ocala Outpatient Clinic.

Dr. Thompson has received ample recognition for her work in the field. She was unanimously chosen as Medical Director for numerous Honor Flights to Washington, D.C., has accompanied veterans to war memorials in D.C. and was the guardian to her own patient on an Honor Flight to D.C. Dr. Thompson was also the recipient of the United States Silver Congressional Award and Veterans Affairs Special Contribution Award.
