Dr. Siesel was influenced by her grandmother as a pre-teen to get involved in the health care profession and began watching people’s gait during high school. She has been involved in podiatry for more than two decades and is well respected among her peers and colleagues for her knowledge of clinical biomechanics, podiatric biomechanics, podiatric sports medicine, and podiatric pediatrics.
She is training future podiatric physicians. She teaches in the basic science, podiatric medicine and biomechanics/orthopedics departments, as well as in the clinical setting. Dr. Siesel also teaches lower limb anatomy, and clinical lower extremity biomechanics.
She also holds positions in a podiatric medical college and a private practice in podiatric medicine. Dr. Siesel primarily works at a retirement community and an assisted living facility that specializes in caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease. She attributes her success to her hard work, open-mindedness, and desire to learn and help people. Dr. Siesel loves making a difference for students who make a difference in people lives, and plans to be involved in the industry for years to come.
