After retiring from a successful 30-year career at a private medical practice, Dr. Estes pursued a new career in teaching in 2002. As one of the original instructors in the general education department, his classes include anatomy and physiology, microbiology and pharmacology. In the near future his course load will include nutrition and chemistry expanding into epidemiology and other additional areas. He attributes his success to his passion for his profession and his environment, where he is surrounded by younger people.
