A 17-year veteran of the medical profession, Dr. Alvarez is proud to have built her obstetrics and gynecology practice largely through referral. She is beloved by patients for the quality of compassionate care that she provides, treating them as she would her own mother or sister. As a physician, Dr. Alvarez puts her patients’ wellbeing and comfort at the forefront, always taking the time to listen to what they have to say and being willing to go the extra mile for them. She credits her success to this approach, as well as to the hard work and dedication that her supportive parents had instilled in her.

Dr. Alvarez completed a residency at The Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. She earned an MD in 1990 from Upstate Medical University and a bachelor’s degree from The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education of The City College of New York. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

When she is away from her professional duties, Dr. Alvarez enjoys spending time with her two children.
