An expert in breast imaging technology, Dr. Rossmann lends over 30 years experience to Staying Abreast, PLLC, a breast cancer treatment center that provides breast cancer diagnosis and prevention options. As a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Rossmann monitors and interprets digital screening, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasounds, magnetic resonance scans, general radiology and cross-sectional imaging, and consults with clinicians and patients. She also performs interventional breast procedures including, galactography, needle localizations, stereotactic, MRI guided vacuum-assisted core biopsies, and fine needle aspirations. The greatest reward of Dr. Rossmann’s career to date has been her research that helps to develop and bring high quality mammograms to every country and having the opportunity to being one of the founders. Dr. Rossmann attributes her success in her accomplished career to her perseverance, passion and drive; she continually strives to grow and learn more about her industry. Dr. Rossmann appreciates the opportunity to work in an industry that attempts to develop different methods to increase quality treatment.

Dr. Rossmann was 5-years-old when she accidentally spilled Drano granules in her eyes, causing her to stay in a hospital for months for treatment. After her hospital experience, she decided that she wanted to be an ophthalmologist. When applying for medical school, she categorized ophthalmology as her first choice, dermatology as her second and radiology as her third. The opening for radiology came first and she fell in love with the field. She has been featured in many publications and has participated in many international and national speaking engagements. She has taught at many of the nation’s top university’s medicine schools, including the University of Maryland, Wayne State University, Creighton University, Cornell University, Stony Brook University, Albert Einstein and Hahnemann University. She has also conducted teaching programs affiliated with Columbia Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medical School. Dr. Rossmann worked as a per diem radiologist in 2008 and as a medical director of a breast cancer center from 2004 to 2006. She is an expert on breast imaging and believes that everyone should have an unbiased second opinion.

Dr. Rossmann graduated from Wayne State College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she earned a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Minnesota in 1980, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington University in 1975. She completed her fellowship in abdominal imaging at Temple University in 1986, her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Minnesota in 1985, her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Buffalo in 1982, and an Internship in straight internal medicine at the University of Buffalo in 1981. Dr. Rossmann retains affiliations with the Oakland County Medical Society, the Michigan Radiological Society, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Association of University Radiologists, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society of Breast Imaging, and the Radiological Society of North America, Inc. She is a former member of the American College of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. She was honored by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2009 and volunteers her expertise and services to the Breast Cancer Action, Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer, Sister’s Network, Inc., the Young Survival Coalition and the American Cancer Society.
