Wyandotte, MI, April 13, 2011, Dr. David Wolf, Program Director of the OB/GYN Residency Program at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, has been recognized by Elite American Physicians for dedication, achievements and leadership in women’s health care.

With a passion for women’s health care, Dr. Wolf has been providing his services in obstetrics and gynecology to patients for more than three decades. He started his first private practice with H.C. Orth Jr., through Riverside Osteopathic Hospital, in 1979. While he maintained his practice, he also directed the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the hospital, which he received recognition for his outstanding teaching in 2000. Dr. Wolf relocated his practice in 2002 to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, where he also became the program director for its residency program in obstetrics and gynecology. He retired from his practice in June 2010, but has continued on as the program director. His award-winning teaching has earned him further honors, including the Board of Trustees Commendation Award, Teaching Faculty of the Year and a featured article in Triad Magazine.

Dr. Wolf graduated from Des Moines University with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine after previously earning a Bachelor of Science and Master of Social Work. He is certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, of which he is also a member. In addition, he is professionally affiliated with the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Osteopathic Association. Outside of his work, he also lends his talents to support the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital Clinic for Working Uninsured, and acts as the chairman of the Center for Women’s & Children’s Health & Well Being Steering Committee for Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Looking toward the future, Dr. Wolf intends to continue educating young physicians and care for those individuals who are not as fortunate.
