He completed coursework at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, as well as at the Warren G. Magnuson Health Sciences Center at the University of Washington. He earned an MD from Louisiana State University, and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon through The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also holds an AOA Honor Trauma Fellowship Board Certification in Sports Medicine.
